So I mentioned before how stress can cause you to gain belly fat and why it's important to minimize your stress. You can click the link above to see that story but the bottom line is that stress can make your belly fat. So today I'm going to share with you an awesome technique to lower your stress.
That technique is taking a bath with epsom salt. Just as the name implies it's a salt that's mainly used for stress relief or pain relief. If you use epsom salt you'll lower your stress level and if you don't then you'll have a tough time lowering stress & remember more stress means a bigger stomach.
How Epsom Salt Helps You Lower Stress
When you stress your body goes through several changes internally and externally. One of those internal changes is a loss of magnesium and an increase in adrenaline. Magnesium is responsible for the health of your muscle tissue.
So when you’re low in it: your muscles won't perform as well and your heart can start to beat abnormally which will affect your heart given enough time. How that connects is like this: your stressful day causes your muscles to perform worse which means you won't build as much muscle after your exercises which means you won't burn as many calories as you would if your stress level was lower.
You can see where this is going and this isn't even the main reason why stress affects the belly region. This is more of a side-effect. The way epsom salt helps is it allows your body to reabsorb magnesium which corrects that balances but it also alters your mood by lowering your adrenaline which puts your back in a calm state.
How To Use Epsom Salt In Your Bath
Before starting your bath it's important to set aside 15 minutes without any distractions. You want to get "lost" in your bath & fully relax so that means put everything away including your cell phone. Using epsom salt is easy; all you have to do is pour 2 cups into your bath. Make sure the water
is warm and I like to pour it in when the water is running.
Next just get in the bath and just sit back and relax for 15 minutes and you're done. If you want to stay longer you're more than welcome too and I recommend you do this about 2-3 times a week. If you're stressing really bad then doing it daily is a good idea.
Now you know why it's important to reduce your stress if you want to lose belly fat. Stress causes all kinds of negative damage to your body and it's really a shame. So don't let stress mess up your chances of getting a flat belly. What I want you to do right now is go out to a store and buy some epsom salt. You can find it online or in local stores, you shouldn't have a problem finding it. I've bought it from walmart or target.
