I've talked before about why breakfast is such an important meal especially if you want to lose belly fat. Well one cereal that's killer for losing stomach fat is oat bran. Oat bran is a hot cereal which is similar to oatmeal but yet they’re different. By eating oat bran for breakfast you'll have a better chance of losing belly fat and if you're not eating a cereal like this then you'll probably gain belly fat and I'm sure you don't want that.

Now oat bran is a food that's high in fiber. As you'll recall fiber is very helpful for burning belly fat because it lets your body know that your full. This happens because foods that are high in fiber are digested slower than foods that aren't. So any food that's high in fiber actually prevents you from overeating and oat bran doesn't disappoint in the fiber department. Oat bran can also help lower your cholesterol, regulate your blood sugar (important if you have diabetes), prevent heart disease, and can help prevent breast cancer.

When you're cooking oat bran, you cook it just like you would oatmeal. So you can either cook it on the stove or in the microwave but the box of oat bran should have instructions. Also look for oat bran without any extra ingredients; oat bran should be the only ingredient. Cooking it plain is going to be very bland so that's why you'll want to give it some flavor with fruits like strawberries, blueberries, or even bananas. You could also use a sugar-alternative like stevia or honey but remember not to go overboard. 

Now you've learned of a great breakfast cereal that'll help you burn belly fat. The fiber in oat bran keeps you feeling full which means a slimmer belly down the road. The next time you're out grocery shopping it's time to pick up a box of oat bran. You can usually either find it in the cereal aisle next to oatmeal, or sometimes in the flower section. If you can't find it just find someone and ask.

  1. im having oat bran with yougurt but feel my stomach is bigger and harder,
    never had a stomach and now have!

  2. I am adding 1 tablespoon of Chia Seeds and some almonds or cashews. it is still pretty bland but i am trying to not add any sugar so, works for me and keeps me full!
